Here are 8 tips to help your nails last longer.
First!
Make sure the nail strips are at room temperature.

If they are too cold, the strips will be hard. If they are too hot, the strips will be sticky. They need to be room temperature. You can always rub them between your hands if they are too cold.
Second!
Wash your hands with this dish soap.

Use dish soap like Palmolive or DAWN. You just want something that cleans your hands, like a degreaser.
Third!
Push your cuticles back with this cuticle pusher.

Its important to push your cuticles as far back as possible so you can get place your nail strips far back also. Your nail strip should not be on the cuticle but close to it.
Fourth!
File, buff and polish your nails.

I love the all in one nail files. They are amazing! You should be filing, buffing and polishing your nails. It definitely helps the nails adhere to your nails if you do this step.
As for polishβ¦You can use any type you want but I use these dry polish stripes. They save me time and money and are super easy to do yourself.

Fifth!
Clean them with alcohol prep pads.

The alcohol prep pads that come with the nail strips make all the difference. You should always use them right before you apply. They take off any excess oil or dirt on your nails. Believe me!! You will have dirt come off on those even after you wash your nails. Itβs crazy! Use them!!!
Sixth!
Double layer them.

You can put multiple layers of your nail strips. I like to do this with the solid colors. If you want them to last a little longer put two nail strips on top of each other. There are also cute overlay nail strips that you can use like Polka Dotcom and Coming Up Rose Gold or Dripping in Diamonds. They elevate your look!
Seventh!
Put them on right before you go to bed.

I always try to put them on right before I go to bed. I don’t have to worry about them smudging while I’m sleeping. I put them on and go straight to sleep. It’s ok if you are busy and you don’t have the time or if you are super tired and want to go to bed. You can put these nails strips on anytime of the day or night. You can put them on 30 minutes before you wash the dishes or go for a swim, but they last longer if you do it the way I have mentioned. Follow my steps and you will get the best results.
Eighth!
Wait 30 minutes after applying them before getting wet.

Do NOT submerge your hands in water like when washing dishes or going for a swim. You can do anything else, but wait 30 minutes to get them wet if possible. You want them to last long.
P.S.
If you are looking for the best fingernail polish remover. This is it! It is my all time favorite nail polish remover because it takes off glitter easily.

This nail polish remover is non-acetone and takes off all the glitter. If you know about glitter nail polish, you know its the hardest to get off. This stuff really works and it’s sooo easy to use!!!

How long do you wait between layers β¦in other words does the first layer need to dry before you add a second layer on top? And if so how long?

Hello Kat, you could wait a few minutes for it to cure just to be sure it doesn’t shrink. I usually don’t wait but if you want them to last long it’s going to be a good idea to give time between layers. Hope that helps! πβ€οΈ
