Magical Moments!

Spring is here! Beautiful things are happening on our end of the world. I love it! We were at the beach today and so far have found….spiderwebs in the sand dunes, blooming flowers all around us, and shells galore. Magical moments in the making. Today is the vernal equinox. This is where day and night are almost equal. 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness. So, who’s going to try the art of egg balancing?

Spring Break Madness

I was fortunate enough to have all of Spring Break off. So, the kids and I stayed busy. We had delicious breakfast outings (the chicken and waffles were fantastic!), 3D IMAX movie about tiny giants and foam party silliness at Discovery Green.

Beachlife

beachlife

This past weekend we went to the beach house in Freeport. My husband likes to call it Follets Island. Every time we go it continues to amaze me. No matter what the season, there’s always plenty to see and explore. It’s a lovely place when it’s hot or cold, dry or wet, windy or foggy. You can see in the photo it was pretty misty out. As you walked further into the distance, you became a little spec disappearing onto a blank white canvas.  I almost lost the boys twice. LOL! I felt safe with Boogie at my side. He is our loyal four legged family member, my protector. This was a peaceful day, walking along the beach picking up shells and firewood. We are all looking forward to visiting again very soon.

We love the beach. ❤

Did you know that there are over 200,000 nerve endings at the bottom of your feet? Well, walking barefoot stimulates them. That’s why it feels so good to go shoeless on the beach. I call that happy feet! See, I say that’s a good reason to go to the beach more often.

What do you like to do in your free time?
