Im always on the lookout for ways to incorporate healthy foods into our meals. Our family loves pizza and we usually eat it once a week. Most of the time on Mondays. No one wants to cook after the weekend and who doesn’t love pizza anyway. I haven’t met that person yet. So, I found this recipe for cauliflower pizza crust. I’m no good at baking anything. When it comes to using flour in a recipe, it never turns out right. I found this recipe and thought this was a great idea and tried it. Low and behold, it was a huge success. Everyone loved it! It was soft on the inside and slightly crunchy on the outside. A perfect combination. If you want to try something new here is my recipe.
Pizza crust combination:
Turn oven on 400 degrees
• 1 cauliflower head
(either graded or processed – then cooked in the microwave for 8 minutes – let it cool down)
• a dash of salt and pepper
• a sprinkle of cilantro, chopped up spinach leaves or chopped fresh basil
• add 1 egg,
Mix all ingredients above, then bake crust for 10 minutes.
• Add a layer of barbecue sauce of your choice first
• 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, 1/4 cup buffalo cheese, 1/4 cup cheddar cheese
(you can use any cheese’s you have on hand – just make sure you include Parmesan)
• Big handful of tomatoes, chopped
• Red Onion, sliced
• Your choice of meat (I like to use shredded chicken or pork)
Cook for 15-20 minutes

Did you know that a cauliflower is grown from a seed? Well, now you do. Cauliflower is a cruciferous vegetable that may help prevent cancer and is a good source of vitamin C. The orange cauliflower is suppose to be the most tasty. It’s suppose to be a little sweeter than the white kind. Purple cauliflower is suppose to be much better for you then white cauliflower. Not sure about the green one. Have you tried any of the these? Also, if you cook it for 30 minutes or more it decreases the health benefits by 75%.
