We all need a little comfort food every now and then. This is one of those foods. Have you ever eaten or baked sausage rolls yourself? Well, either way you are in for a treat. This one is super easy and quick to make!

Ingredients:
• 1 box all butter puff pastry
• 1 lb sage pork sausage
• 1 tsp dijon mustard
• 1 egg, beaten
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Take out the puff pastry and let sit to defrost according to package. Once it has defrosted, roll it out with a pin. Cut the pastry into thirds, oblong. Roll the sausage into thirds also, long lengthwise. Spread some of the mustard on each oblong section of the pastry. Roll in the sausage on top of the pastry. Pull the pastry over the sausage to meet the other side closing the edges (see video below). Brush the egg mixture on the outside of each pastry roll. Then cut them into small 2 inch pieces. Place on a baking sheet and cook for 20-25 minutes or until golden.
Check out a video on how someone else makes their sausage rolls. It shows all the steps. I keep mine very simple and small. I put mustard in mine and she does not. My recipe cuts the pastry into thirds and hers is cut in half. I like for mine to last longer and be more shareable because they are eaten soo quickly.
This is my version of a cheat sausage roll but you make this your own version. Some people add onions, others make their own sage sausage and homemade dough. You do what works for you and make this recipe your own. Enjoy!
