We went on a day trip to good ole’ Waco, Texas all the way from Houston. It’s about a 3-hour drive. I enjoyed the beautiful scenery along the way. Our reason for the visit was to go to the Magnolia Market at the Silos. Have you ever seen Fixer Upper on HGTV with Chip and Joanna Gaines? It is owned and operated by them. It was their dream to make it happen.
We enjoyed their cozy lawn with all the other people and their kids.
It’s a very busy place. Lines everywhere, all of the time! They were long but fast. The workers said there are always crowds of people year round. Our visit was in December on a Thursday. Beautiful day, perfect weather!
The store was super cute inside! Sooo many great things to go home with. I bought a mug, the smell good Linen candle, a cozy sweatshirt and some white teardrop earrings. You can shop online for all the same things they had in their store here.
The one thing I really wanted was this sign. I just couldn’t get myself to pay $77 for it. Maybe I’ll get it for my birthday. 😉
All their signs were great! ❤️
Of course on our way out we had to stop and eat at Magnolia Table. It was a 3.5 hour wait. Luckily, they allowed us to make our reservation ahead of time. We shopped at the Silos and then headed to the restaurant a little beforehand. They texted us when our table was ready. The food was amazing! Well worth the wait.
I ordered the BLT with handmade tator tots and tomato basil soup. Yum! 😋
Should you visit? Absolutely! At least once in your life.
Note: if you love salted caramel, go to the takeaway store next to Magnolia Table and get you some. It is to die for. The caramel is soft and sweet, but the best part is the grains of salt inside. It’s like a surprise in your mouth towards the end. Delicious!
