This year we decided to take our family trip to Scotland. My husband really wanted to see his family in England, but thought Scotland would be a good place for both of our families. He grew up visiting Scotland when he was younger, so he wanted to take the kids there so they could enjoy it as much as he did. Spending time with his parents and sister’s family was very refreshing. Our whole trip to Scotland was amazing! Beautiful landscapes everywhere. I would love to go back and visit one day. Our days were filled with adventures, castles, hiking, lots of eating, playing games, interesting late night conversations and drinking Scotch whiskey every night. Lagavulin is my new favorite. 🙂

Did you know that the highest point in Scotland is the mountain peak of Ben Nevis. It’s actually the highest peak in the UK at 4,418 ft. Check out this short video of someone climbing Ben Nevis.  Pretty cool!
