Keto Chili Yumminess!

This turned out better than I expected. I love chili! ❤️ I love every ingredient in this recipe. Want to try it for yourself?

Recipe:
1 lb ground bison
1 lb ground sausage, any kind
1.5 cups beef bone broth
1.5 cups of water
3 slices of bacon chopped into pieces and pre-cooked
1 red or green bell pepper, chopped
1 yellow onion, chopped
1 carrot, chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped
1 fresh jalapeño, diced without the seeds
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 can of diced tomatoes (14.5oz)
1 can of crushed tomatoes
1/2 can of tomato paste
1 can of tomato sauce
1 tbs chia seeds
2 tbs chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Himalayan salt and cracked pepper to taste

Cook the bacon until crispy, set aside. Sauté the onion and garlic in grass-fed butter, add in all vegetables and continue to cook for about 10 minutes on medium heat. Then brown the bison, add in all the spices, pour in all of the cans of tomatoes with juices, add the bacon and vegetables and cook for 30 minutes. The longer you cook the better for the flavors to meld with each other. So, if you have the time cook it for another 30 minutes or more. If not, 30 minutes will suffice. Serve with high fat sour cream, grass-fed shredded cheddar cheese, sprinkle green onions and jalapeños slices. You can also make some cauliflower rice to go with this recipe.

If you want more substance and are not eating Keto, you can add 2 cans of beans to it. We like to add pinto and black beans. Discard the juices. Sometimes I also like to add a little bit of dark chocolate. If you use chocolate make sure it’s something like this one. Choose one that has 70%-100% cacao.

Here is the Simply Keto crockpot and instapot way to cook similar chili.

Enjoy!
